Q: Is my data kept confidential on Octan Network?
A: Yes, user data is encrypted by Octan and kept confidential. Octan only keeps proofs containing information and shows them on the dashboard with the 1ID account of the user.
Q: Can I mint Octan SBT on any blockchain?
A: Currently, SBT can be minted on the Binance Smart Chain network.
Q: Are there any limits to how many Octan SBTs I can mint?
A: Yes, each wallet address can only mint one SBT per chain.
Q: Can Octan SBT be transferred to other people?
A: No, Octan SBT is non-transferable and not for sale.
Q: What are the requirements to mint Octan SBT?
A: Users must log in to an EVM wallet with Metamask and provide a username and email to qualify to mint SBT. Social account information is optional. The more information provided, the more accurate the reputation score.
Q: Is there a fee to mint Octan SBT?
A: Yes, users need to pay a gas fee depending on the blockchain network they're using to mint SBT. Additionally, there is a $1 service fee per SBT.
Q: How often is the global reputation score updated for Octan SBT?
A: The global reputation score is updated periodically and automatically by the Octan system. There is no fee for this service.
Q: How can I view my SBT information on Octan 1ID?
A: Users can view their SBT information, including verified social media accounts and reputation scores, on their 1ID dashboard under the "SBT" section.
Q: Can I delete or modify my social account information on Octan SBT?
A: Yes, users have the option to delete or modify their social account information on Octan SBT at any time. However, keep in mind that providing accurate and up-to-date information can improve your reputation score.
Q: Why can't I see my wallet on the reputation rankings?
A: We only show wallets that are more than 1 year old on the leaderboard. Therefore, if the wallet you have just created or has been inactive for a long time, it cannot appear.
Q: Can other people access my dashboard?
A: Yes, Octan supports exporting the dashboard page by QR code. Users can show others proof and reputation scores.
Q: How is the reputation score calculated?
A: The user's reputation is calculated based on each user's wallet on each different chain by many different parameters such as the number of transactions, transaction generation time, gas fee, number of interactive contracts, and activities on each social platform. The algorithm used is inspired by Google's PageRank.
Q: Why do I generate a transaction but don't see an increase in reputation?
A: User reputation scores are updated periodically by Octan, weekly/monthly/quarterly. In the future, Octan will expand the feature that allows users to actively update in real time.
Q: Will my reputation score disappear if I stop using the wallet?
A: In case the user's address stops generating activities for a period of time, the reputation score will gradually decrease and approach 0 if it takes too long.
Q: I have many Twitter accounts, Facebook accounts, Discord accounts, and Telegram accounts. Can I count the reputation score?
A: Octan encourages everyone to use the official social profile, so each 1ID account can only use one account for one social platform
